Roll-up covers for lathes
The roll-up covers for LATHES responds to the need to limit the risk originating from the handling of the nut screw and/or the bars of parallel lathes (compliant with the Machinery Directive 2006/42 / EC).
P.E.I. roll-up covers for lathes offer the following advantages:
- Ease of installation
- Adaptability to each type of lathe
- Compact size
- No fragment projection in case of accidental breakage.
This is a kit designed to protect the machine operator from the lathe’s lead and draw spindles and to prevent direct contact with the machine parts in motion.
The system consists of two separate roll-up covers, to be fixed on the two sides of the cross slide and to the machine base of the corresponding side.
The complete kit of roll-up protective covers for the mother screw of the lathe consists of a pair of rollers equipped with a protective tape made of coated technical fabric, resistant to coolants and abrasion.
The roll-up covers are driven from the inside by a single or multiple spring motor.
During the movement of the longitudinal carriage, the two units unwind and wrap themselves, constantly protecting the lathe’s lead and the draw spindles.
